### Chapter 2: Part 1: The Alpha.
"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." - Marilyn Monroe NATALIA'S POV: All I saw was blood as anxiety rushed through my lungs. I ran up the damaged stairs before I smelt something, 'Intruder.' My wolf, Accacia, alerted. I went on full defense mode when I saw the attacker trying to stab my unconscious brother. From the smell of it, he is someone that has a position. I took the knife from him, challenging him. "Who are you, why are you here?" I asked trying to avoid using my Alpha tone. He smile as a response before eyeing me head to toe. "Let's handle this the mature way," He suggested before kicking the knife out of my hand. From his fighting skills I could tell that he is from the Fangs Pack. The Fangs Pack is known as a slaughter factory. They cause wars between packs, battling for power and wealth. The weird thing is, he didn't even show efforts in fighting me. I hate to think that it was probably because I was a girl or maybe it was just one of his tac tics. He threw a couple punches at me but not hard enough to make me bleed. At a point I actually kicked him where 'the sun don't shine' resulting him to groan in pain as the fell on his knees. 'f#ck he's mind linking someone.' I informed Accacia, 'RUN.' she commanded. I ran straight to the door to be stopped by a new opponent. He looked scarier than the other. I stepped back while memorising his features. I stopped stepping back as I realised that the mysterious guy is still in the room. I went back to my fighting position, targeting both of them. Somehow, two of them succeeded to took hold of my hands. I was ready to kick before feeling a sharp pang on my neck. THERE'S ANOTHER PERSON IS IN THIS ROOM?!? you see, being aware, is one of my weaknesses. There's no point of screaming since the war outside is beating my voice. I hate the fact that I can't mind link because I'm a rogue . I tried to fight whatever the liquid was by kicking. However, the results disappoint me. I felt numb before my body began to shift back to my human form. The third guy wrapped a blanket over my body to cover my nakedness. The darkness slowly consumed me and the worst part is, I gave in. ......................................................................................................................................... I woke up on the cold hard ground. I was wearing a night gown and I swear I'm going to rip those three boys if they're the ones that changed me. I look around and realise I was in a cell. I'm used to it though. 'Accacia, are you there?' I asked, no answer 'Accacia, you're scaring me' still no respond . That wolf bane is more powerful than I thought. I just hope that my brother is alright. Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours, Although I know that it has only been five minutes it felt like a century have passed. I would be lying if I say I wasn't scared. Beta Matteo, the Beta of my pack, told me that The Alpha kidnapped Isabelle, my little sister. That's not even the worst part, she was pregnant when they took her. Although I haven't seen her in about, seven years, the news made my blood boil. The Alpha also accused us of stealing their money, and why would we do that? both of these reasons started the war between Faded Moon Pack and Fangs Pack. I've heard a lot of terrible things about 'The Alpha' They say that he killed his own mate, betrayed his parents, and have no heart whatsoever. The thought itself made my stomach crunch and my spine to shiver. The door opened letting the lights in. two boys walked in, one that I didn't recognise, and one that was trying to kill my brother earlier. Their clothes are ripped, from the war , I'm guessing. I didn't say anything when they walked in. All I did was lift my chin up and hide the fear in my eyes. The blonde boy looked at me with a disgusted face, "Why were you, a rogue , inside the Faded Moon Pack territory?" Probably he's the Beta, thank god not the alpha. Yes, I'm a rogue, so what? Not every rogues are savages. "And who are you?" I asked, having the guts to speak. I'm not afraid of anyone, not them. "Very brave for you to ask, I'm the Alpha. " He said, trying to scare me. " The Alpha? I didn't know that he was as unattractive as you..." I chuckled. As brave as I sound, I am low key mentally peeing my pants. The Beta glared at him with so much fury and hatred, I thought his eyes are gonna pop off. "You cannot speak to him like that, rogue . " the brown haired boy, A.K.A the one that tried to kill my brother, finally spoken. "And why would I listen to you?" I asked, just got myself a death wish. "By the way, Gamma, you fight like a girl." I pointed out. That wasn't an insult, since girls can actually fight, hint over here. "Style tip over here, Beta if you want to get girls, ripping your clothes for them to see your non-existing abs is not going to work." I said, teasing him. The Beta had some anger issues and actually tried to punch me. For once, brown haired boy was my saviour when he stopped him. I could tell that it was a 'don't do anything till the alpha comes here or it'll be our heads' move. Speaking of the devil, the door opened and there he stands. He had this aura around him that screams danger. His hair was black and messy, which is extremely hot- excuse me. He was wearing a suit and he stood about 6'2 feet tall. The thing that bothers me is the scent he has. It was chocolate with a hint of mint. Something about him made me feel safe. The bond between us is strong, No, he can't be my mate. Just no. I thought he killed his mate? He had this devious smirk on, which made my knees weak. "What do we have here?"The alpha asked while circling me like a predator. I tried to remain unaffected from his awfully sexy dark voice. "Rico found her with the alpha. Probably his rogue mate. " The Beta said. The alpha furrowed his eyebrows in the mention of 'mate'. "Excuse me?" I asked, offended. "Let's go to the questions." The Gamma, who's name is Rico, said. "Who are you?" The Beta asked in a stern tone. Honestly what kind of stupid question is this? "A person." I answered in a duhhh tone. "Who are you to Nathaniel?" He asked mentioning my brother's name. "Is it any of your business?" I asked. "Stop acting like a child and answer." The beta said irritated. " You have some serious anger issues." I mumbled. "What was that?" he asked snapping his head at me. "YOU HAVE SOME SERIOUS ANGER ISSUES. Or do you have some hearing issues too?" I screamed on top of my lungs. The alpha remains silent as the beta shot him a questioning look. "Who are you to Nathaniel?" he asked again. I pretended to not listen and played with my hands. "Who. are. you. to. NATHANIEL?" The Beta asked. I thought The Alpha was suppose to ask the questions? instead he just stands there observing me sending fire through my body. "I thought you said that I'm his mate ? Do you have some sort of a memory loss?" I asked. The Alpha clenched his jaw, again, in the mention of mate. "do you know where Mara might be?" He asked. "Who's Mara?" I asked as The Beta raised his brow. "I don't know who she is!" I said truthfully. "LIAR." he spits. "Who's Mara?" I asked again sounding confused, I honestly don't know who she is. "Stop being difficult and answer my question!" demanded The Beta. "How is a rogue supposed to know?" I asked turning his words against him. "Answer or prepare for your punishment." The Alpha said. Those words brought tears to my eyes. He's as cruel as people say, punishing his own mate. "Again, who the hell is Mara?" I asked. "Language." The Alpha warned. "Who the f#ck are you? and why should I listen to you? Assh#le. " I cursed at him "Chain her." he commanded. "gladly." The Beta said. Hey guys! I hope you enjoy the first part of Cold Hearted. It is a little confusing at first but I promise that all the questions will be answered in the following parts, like: Why is she exiled from her pack when her brother is an Alpha? Why did she have an Alpha voice? Have fun making predicitons! I work really hard for this story so it'll make my day if you..
