### Chapter 1: Chapter 1

unedited ➖➖➖🐺➖➖➖ It's moments like these when I wish I was a normal werewolf. Where I could go to school with my friends, train with the pack, or take part in the monthly fighting tournaments that crown the fiercest warriors in our pack champions. But I can't because I'd probably kill someone. You see, I'm special. I'm faster, stronger and more powerful than even my father, who is the alpha of my pack, and I can't control it. He calls it a gift from the moon goddess. I call it my curse. Where my friends go to public school with humans, I'm home schooled to ensure I don't shift and kill someone. Where my friends train with the rest of the pack, I train with my father and the warriors of the pack, so I don't fatally injure someone who won't heal as quickly. Whilst my friends are all taking part in the fighting tournament, I'm made to watch with my mother and father in the area designated for the Alpha and his family. Because I'm a danger to others. I watch as my best friend Sophia sends another devastating punch into the face of the her opponent, the ever so arrogant pack heartthrob Jake Scott. His nose is bent at a funny angle, and blood is spilling from his nose like a waterfall. But his eyes are black and murderous, his wolf fully surfaced as his fangs are bared at Sophia. "She's kicking his ass." I whisper excitedly to my mum, who watches on with a smirk on her lips. "I so hope she kicks his..." "Watch your language." My dad grumbles, his eyes on the fight, and I turn to watch the pair of them square up against one another inside the pit. "But, off the record, I hope she kicks his ass too." Jake lands a solid kick to Sophia's stomach, who doubles over. I can feel my legs forcing me to stand up, and I can feel my wolf guiding me towards the arena, but not before a strong hand wraps it's way around my wrist. My eyes snap to my dad's and his eyes are black. " Don't ." The power in is voice has me sitting down and cowering away, his alpha tone putting me in place. Whilst I'm faster and stronger than my dad, his voice still carries a weight with my wolf, and she still bows to him. So I sit down, dig my nails into the flesh on my palm, and watch on with bated breath. And then Sophia takes Jake by surprise and tackles him to the floor, wrapping her legs around his neck and squeezing, her eyes glowing gold with the extra help from her wolf. Jake's face goes red, and even with the strength of his wolf, he can't unlock her legs. So he taps the dirt and grants her the victory. I discreetly pump my fist on my lap, and smile brightly when Sophia locks eyes with mine. "You go biotch!" I mind link to her, and she laughs out loud, blowing me a kiss before pushing her sweaty hair away from her face. "I hope she wins tho whole tournament this time." I mumble, my fingers fiddling in my lap. Last month she got to the semi-finals, but lost to my father's favourite prospect for chief warrior, Lyle Clay. "She's definitely the best fighter left in." Because Lyle won the last tournament, he's unable to take part in this one, as a way of making the tournament anyones game, boosting the confidence of the pack members. The winners of the tournaments get special priviledges for the month leading up to the next one, so the stakes to win are never higher. My father stands and raises his hands, a hush falling over the crowd. "The winner of the second semi-final is Sophia Harrison!" Cheers erupt from the crowd, and my father raises his hands again so he can continue talking. "We'll see her take on Violetta Sparks tomorrow evening in the final..." His voice falls short, and his eyes glaze over, as he mindlinks someone in the pack. I send a worried glance to my mum, who's eyes are glazed over also. Eventually he snaps out of it and looks out towards his concerned pack members. "Sorry to cut this short, but can all the contestents who can still fight please join me at the south border. It seems we have some, uninvited guests." ➖➖➖🐺➖➖➖ My dad sent me and my mum home, and told us to lock all the doors, not that a lock would be able to stop the strength of a wolf. I begged him to let me go, to test my control. I promised him I wouldn't shift into my wolf, but he silenced my plea's with an aggressive growl. I decided not to push my luck and went home. Now I'm pacing in my room, my nose thick with the metallic scent of blood and dirt, and my ears picking us the faint sounds of claws and teeth raking through fur, flesh and bone. Along with being stronger and faster, I have better senses too, including smell and hearing. My mother, despite being Luna, can't hear the fighting, or smell the bloodshed. She's lucky. Because all it's doing is sending my wolf into a frenzy in my head. As I head downstairs, the strong, pungent smell of rogues hits me from the east. It's on the opposite side of the territory, where my dad currently isn't, and the pack houses containing the children are. I clench my fists, and breathe deeply through my nose in an attempt to calm my wild wolf. " I'll mindlink my dad, he can go. I can't control you, and you're dangerous."  I say to her, and she growls in response, her agitation increasing by the second. " We need to do this now, we're ten minutes closer than he is and you know we're the best chance the pups have got."  She snarls, and the more the talks to me, the more she makes sense. "Okay fine." I say out loud and head back up to my window quietly, pushing it open and jumping out. My bare feet sink into the dirt surrounding my house and I set off sprinting toward the east, where the scent of rogues getting stronger the closer I get. I can make out at least seven seperate smells, all of them combining to make one overpowering mixture of sour milk and rotten meat. I've taken on three, sometimes four of my father's warriors at the same time, handling them with ease; seven makes me feel slightly apprehensive. I have no time to think about it though, because the second I sprint into the clearing a few miles behind the pup house, I see them. All of them have shifted, their matted fur coated with dirt and dried blood and their sharp teeth bared at me. A low, guttural growl emits from deep within my throat, and I can feel my fangs elongating from my gums. Because I'm the daughter of an alpha, my voice carries power, and three of them step back slightly, their heads almost bowing. One of them however, charges at me, his teeth snapping violently as his jaws aim for my throat. I crouch low, my body weight on my back foot, and give Shiva some control. My hand snaps up and catches him by the throat, my claws digging deep into his neck, and I squeeze. His jaw are snapping desperately, a whine coming out of him mouth. I apply more pressure, until the wolf goes limp in my hand, and I toss it's dead body at the feet of his friends. " Give me control!" Shiva shouts in my head and I comply, letting her take full control as my anger floods through my veins, my lust for their blood controlling me. I feel a warm sensation as I hear the snapping of bones and the movement of joints, my body ending up on all fours. Thick, wiry white hair grows out of my arms, and my nose elongates into a snout, my eyes still focused on the rogues. Shiva lets out a dangerous howl, my body completely tranfsormed into my wolf. Two of the rogues back away completely at the sight of me, because I'm nearly twice their size. I can feel the power of my wolf surge through me, and I take a back seat from the fighting as they start to advance. "I'll leave this to you, Shiva." "My pleasure." She growls in response, and throws her body at the first rogue, her teeth aimed at his neck. In less than two minutes she's killed all but one of them, ripped them apart, limb by limb, with her jaws, their eyes lifeless and dull as they stare blankly into the woods. The last one didn't even attempt to fight, and he's currently edging away back towards the forest surrounding us. "Leave him." I say, and I try to take power back from Shiva. "He's running away..." " No. " She says firmly, refusing to give me control. "He needs to die. " "Stop." I scream, but it's no use, because she's already set off after him, and I can feel her need to kill running through her head. My dad is going to kill me. We're nearing the edge of pack territory, the rogue no longer with a strong lead. Shiva has caught up to him, her teeth nipping at his ankles. He crosses over our borders and into the territory next to us, but Shiva doesn't stop, her legs powering after him until her jaws wrap around his ankle and snap shut, severing his limb. The rogue lets out a howl of pain, but she doesn't stop, ripping his foot clean off before releasing it and latching her jaws around his neck, biting down hard and killing him instantly. "You're tresspassing, wolf!" A voice behind us shouts, and Shiva's head whips round. Stood behind us is a man I haven't seen before, with a scent I've never smelt before. He stands over six feet tall, with coffee coloured skin and hair thats curly on top but shaved on the sides. His arms are covered in tattoos, and his eyes are gold becasue of his wolf. "Shiva, let's go home." I urge, and try to get a hand on the reigns to pull away. But she doesn't let me, and only growls at the man, her teeth bared violently towards him. "The alpha is on his way." The man's voice states, his voice hard. "He doesn't take kindly to wolves on his territory." Shiva takes a threatening step forward, and the man growls lowly, his teeth bared. "I dare you." Shiva takes that as an invitation and jumps, her body pinning the man's to the floor. "Shiva!" I scream, and she hesitates enough for me to retain the reigns and pull back before her teeth sink into his throat. "ENOUGH!" My blood runs cold in my veins and the delicious smell of pine, sandlewood and man washes over me, relaxing my muscles and making Shiva freeze. His voice is smoother than silk, rich and deep, and that, mixed with his scent, has my body melting into a puddle of hormones. I turn around and lock eyes with the alpha, his red eyes look shocked before returning cold and murderous, the anger radiating of his body like warmth from a fire. I feel like I've been punched in the stomach, because his rejection of our bond leaves me feeling breathless. Even though Shiva was about to kill one of his pack, I still expected the mate bond to show more of a pull. " Shift. " My mate growls, his voice low and furious. I stand frozen in place, my eyes drinking in his appearance. He's tall and muscular, with a mop of dark brown hair sitting messily atop his head, and a thin layer of stubble on his chiselled jaw. His body is muscular, his biceps pressing against his thin shirt. "Shift, before I make you." ➖➖➖🐺➖➖➖ FIRST CHAPTER IS UP!! Make sure to vote and comment if you loved it and I hope to update soon!!

### Chapter 2: Chapter 2

unedited (The end of this chapter is slightly dry, which sucks because I loved all your comments last chapter saying it was a great start, hang onto your hat folks because shît will go DOWN soon I promise you) ➖➖➖🐺➖➖➖ "Shift." I whine, as Shiva has disappeared into the back of my head and left me to fend for myself. I don't want to have to stand here naked in front of these two strangers just because I can't control my wolf. I also don't want to anyone except my mate to see me, and the tattooed, coffee coloured man is making me uncomfortable. I start edging towards the woods, hoping to get behind a tree but a low, warning growl from my mate has me frozen in place. My mate storms towards me, his eyes blazing with fire, and he barks out a word so forceful, I can feel the human inside me being forced to appear. "SHIFT." I watch as the fur on my legs disappears, and my paws elongate into my slender fingers, claws retracting back into my hands and my nails reappear. My teeth slowly slide into my gums until I'm naked and shivering, surrounded by two strange men who are staring at me hungrily. I curl into a ball to hide my nakedness, goosebumps raising on my skin. I look up and lock eyes with my mate, his jaw set and his eyes black. I send him a pleading look and his jaw ticks. "Jasper, look away." His friend looks at him funny but turns away nonetheless. My mate growls but removes his tshirt, revealing his toned, muscular chest. He tosses his shirt to me and I catch it, pulling it over my head and letting it fall below my knees. "Thanks." His scent has stuck to his shirt like glue and it's overpowering my senses. His heavy musk of man, pine and sandlewood has my head going dizzy, the need to be close to him pulling deep in my stomach, so I settle for burying my face in his shirt and inhaling. "No problem." He says, his voice strained. His eyes aren't looking at me and his mouth is set in a thin line, his Adam's apple bobbing as he swallows harshly. "But now we have to talk about how you almost killed my beta." I look at the floor, letting my hair down in front of my eyes so he can't see me. "It was an accident..." "Oh it was an accident." He snorts coldly, laughing sarcastically at my comment. If only he knew. "Jasper, we have to let her off now because it was an accident." "It was!" I snap, pushing myself up from my seated position on the floor to glare at him. His eyes drop to my bare legs and a husky growl falls involuntarily from his lips. "My wolf took control and wouldn't give it back. You're lucky I managed to get through to her or you wouldn't be standing here, laughing at me." My mate growls, his nostrils flaring with his anger. "Don't talk to me like..." A rustle in the bushes from behind me stops his sentence, and reflexes have him pushing me behind his back, his Beta Jasper stood defensively by his side. A growl emits from the undergrowth, and the power behind it has me bending at the knee, submitting before I get myself in more trouble. My mate looks at me like I've lost my mind, but when my father emerges from the thick undergrowth, his murderous facial expression aimed solely at me, it's like a switch goes off in his head. "You're Piers Lattimore's daughter." "The one and only." I grin sheepishly, before standing up from my kneeled position and start heading towards my father. "Hi daddy...." "Go home." He growls viciously, his tone so furious it has me flinching. Despite it hurting me, I know he was worried about me, worried people would find out about my violent other half, so I let it slide. He's in full alpha mode now and he can't control how he's feeling. A snarl sounds from behind me, and I whip around to see my mate snapping his extended canines at my father, his eyes red. "She's mine." "Alpha Kaden, just because she's on your territory doesn't make her yours." My father barks back. My eyes widen when I hear the name roll off his tongue. My mate is Alpha Kaden Thorne of the Dawnstar pack, a pack notorious for it's fearless warriors and violent alpha. I look with wide eyes at Kaden, who looks like he wants to take on my father. "Kaden." I say quietly, trying the name on my tongue now I know it's important, and his eyes come to land on me. They immediately soften, and I take a step towards him. "Stop." My Dad growls, his hand whipping out grabbing a hold of my arm. Kaden let's out a growl so dangerous and possessive that it has my dad letting go. "What the..." "My mate is Alpha Kaden." I blurt out, and watch as every pair of eyes lands on me. Oh boy. ➖➖➖🐺➖➖➖ I'm sitting at home in my room, waiting to be called downstairs. My father and my mate are in the council room arguing about me, and even without my increased hearing I can hear their shouts of anger. Kaden wants me to go back to Dawnstar with him, both to pay for my crime of attempted assault and to take the spot as Luna by his side. My father however, needs me here to ascend him as alpha otherwise the CrescentMoon Pack becomes alpha-less. "Just give the alpha role to your Beta's son!" Kaden yells, his voice angrier than I've ever heard it. "Her place is with me, her mate , and with my pack. They need her more than she is needed here." I have a fistful of Kaden's shirt in my hand as I play with the hem. I got home and I showered and got dressed, but I felt an urge to pull his giant, black tshirt back on so I did. "That's wrong and you know it." My Dad growls, and a fist slams down on a table, presumably his. "She has much to learn that you can't teach her, she needs to step up as Alpha here because there's nobody good enough to take her place!" I roll my eyes, finally sick and tired of their bickering over me, when I'm not even involved in the conversation. I sit up from on my bed, and pull up my sweatpants that have ridden down on my hips, before storming down the hall. I barge into the council room uninvited, to find the two alphas nose to nose, looking near enough ready to rip each other to pieces. "What the hell are you two doing?! The whole pack can hear you two bickering like children, you're supposed to be alphas for crying out loud! Calm down!" They both look and me and immediately take steps back, the power and anger in my voice having an effect on them without even realising. Kaden's eyes rake over my body, his eyes going black with lust at the sight of me in his shirt. My dad's chest is heaving, and his anger doesn't seem to lessen when he sees the way my mate looks at me. But before he opens his mouth, I stop him by raising my hand. "You're fighting over where I should go, but have you even considered how I might feel about the arrangement." I look towards my dad, who's eyes look down at the floor because he knows I'm right. "Dad, you're asking me to stay here and leave my mate, and you know that I can't do that, because you couldn't." I take another look at Kaden, who's still stood shirtless, his toned body making me almost drool. I quickly shake my head, but don't miss the sexy smirk on his face. "And you're asking me to leave my role as Alpha, and abandon my responsibility to my pack, to come with you." He growls, but once again I silence the men with my hand. "Don't growl at me Kaden, if I asked you to leave DawnStar, and come and rule as Alpha beside me here, would you?" His eyes are angry at my obvious disrespect, but he keeps quiet and I turn my attention back to my father. "Nevertheless, I want to go with Kaden." "You'd leave your pack to struggle without an alpha so you could be with your mate?" My Dad fumes angrily. "Yes." I say bluntly. "You have three good prospects that I can think of straight off the top of my head that would be better alpha's than I ever could be, your pride just won't let you see it." I write down the names Lyle, Sophia and Harry (Dad's betas son) on a sheet of paper and pass them to him. "Make your choice and train them Dad because I'm going with Kaden." And with the I spin on my heel and leave, leaving two very surprised alphas in stunned silence. ➖➖➖🐺➖➖➖ I couldn't stay in the house when the air was so thick with tension you could cut it with a knife, so I left. I pulled on some shoes and I walked straight out of the door towards Sophia's house. I had mindlinked her whilst I was pulling on my vans that I was on my way over, and she promised me that her mate wasn't there and they weren't shagging or anything disgusting. You see, I've been basing my knowledge of the mate pull on my parents and Sophia, because they're the only people I know who have found them, besides the obvious adults in the pack. Sophia and my parents are the people I "study" so to speak, and when I saw how Kaden reacted to me I was shocked, purely because the mates I've seen can't physically keep their hands off each other. Seeing Kaden shrug me off, turn his head away from me like I was nothing to him, like I meant nothing, it hurt. I was also confused, as to how he could physically ignore the bond, until I saw his eyes. If I looked past the anger, no fury, I could see lust and restraint he held and I knew that if he wasn't an alpha then he would've been all over me. I knock on Sophia's door, and I hear her barrelling down the stairs towards me, taking the steps what sounds like three at a time. "Bîtch get in here!" Sophia chuckles grabbing me by the hand, pulling me inside with the full force of her wolf behind her. She literally rips me off my feet and drags me inside and upstairs into her room. "You have to tell me everything. " So I dive into the story starting from finding the rogues. Sophia knows all about my inability to control Shiva, so she isn't surprised when she finds out I couldn't stop killing, but she is more than surprised when I tell her about a particular Alpha. "Should've known he'd be the passive possessive type." She scoff, digging her spoon deep into her Ben and Jerry's ice cream. "Most Alphas are." "Oh I know, have you met my dad." I laugh, shoving a spoonful of cookie dough into my mouth. "But they were arguing over me like I wasn't even to be considered. So I put them in their places." Sophia grins, a small amount of ice cream dribbling down her chin but she doesn't seek to care. "Have you been able to talk to Shiva?" I shake my head, rubbing a hand through my hair. "It's like she disappeared completely at the sight of our mate, and I haven't got her back since." "Maybe this is a good thing." Sophia shrugs. "Maybe you can learn to shift without her taking the reigns?" "Maybe..." I mumble, my voice fading away as I hear the one of another inside my head. He doesn't sound angry, or upset. Just passive. That definitely worries me, because my father is very rarely void of emotion. "You can come home now, Lola because we definitely need to talk." ➖➖➖🐺➖➖➖ So that's another chapter folks! I'm so glad you all enjoyed the first chapter, and I'm really happy with the votes and comments, and people adding my book to reading lists, I was honestly expecting about three readers, so I can safely tell you that you've made me feel confident that this book may impress. The banner ar the top was created by @electronic_gypsie who is a very good friend of mine, on wattpad and off, and is always doing banners and covers for me so just a big fat thankyou to you. Although she was late to the party last chapter 😉 Anyways, hopefully the next chapter will be up in the next couple days, and I promise you there will be some cheeky Kaden/Lola moments in it!!
