Section 1
Elena walked alone along the artificial shoreline of Mission Bay Colony, her bare feet sinking into the cool synth-sand as the full moon hung like a silver coin in the domed sky. She had rented a private pod for the weekend after a string of rough jobs, seeking solitude after months of servicing corporate clients who treated her body like a transaction. The salty tang of recycled ocean air filled her lungs, and she tilted her face upward, letting the engineered moonlight wash over her skin.
A low panting sound broke the quiet rhythm of the waves, heavy and rhythmic like a subwoofer hidden in the rocks. Elena paused, scanning the empty stretch of beach for any sign of an owner or stray drone, but nothing moved except the gentle lap of water against the shore. Her heart quickened despite her rational mind telling her it was nothing, yet the sensation of being watched crept along her spine like a familiar thrill from her line of work.
She had been an escort for five years in the colony's underbelly, trading pleasure for credits with men who paid premium for her full curves and willing mouth. The feeling of hidden eyes on her now felt different, hungrier, laced with something feral that made her core clench in anticipation rather than fear. Elena continued walking, her hips swaying in the thin dress that clung to her curves, wondering if this was another paid encounter or something darker.
The growl came next, deep enough to vibrate through the ground, and before she could react a heavy body slammed into her from behind. Claws pinned her wrists to the sand, a hot snout brushing her neck as golden eyes locked onto hers in the moonlight. The creature's form shifted before her eyes, fur receding partially to reveal a man's face twisted with need, his arousal already hard and pressing against her belly.
"You came alone tonight, Elena," the voice rumbled, half-human and laced with the sci-fi horror of the lunar virus that turned clients into beasts under the artificial moon. She recognized him then as Thorne, the mysterious patron who had booked her for the night through encrypted channels, promising extra credits for discretion. His claws shredded her dress, exposing her backside to the cool air, and she felt her body respond with heat despite the danger.
Thorne's tongue dragged over her throat before he flipped her onto her back, his snout nuzzling between her thighs. Elena moaned as his rough tongue found her most sensitive spot, lapping with hunger that sent sparks through her nerves. She arched, gripping the sand, her body lifting as he devoted himself to her pleasure.
"Please," she gasped, the word slipping out as his claws gripped her hips. Thorne rose, his body half-transformed, and took her in one deep stroke, filling her completely. The sand shifted beneath her with every powerful movement, the sounds of their passion mixing with the waves as they moved together under the moon's glow.
A sudden alarm blared from the colony dome, signaling a containment breach as the lunar virus spread through Thorne's system faster than expected. His form rippled with horror, claws lengthening dangerously, and Elena realized this was no ordinary booking but a trap that could doom them both to permanent monstrosity.
"Thorne, stop," she cried, pushing at his chest even as her body clenched around him. He snarled but froze, golden eyes clearing for a moment. "If you finish like this we'll both be infected. I won't be your slave to the moon."
Thorne pulled back, his voice strained. "Then choose, Elena. Run and report me, or stay and bind yourself to me before the change takes us." She looked at his heaving form, his arousal still glistening with her desire, and made her decision. Elena rolled onto her hands and knees, presenting herself to him. "Take me as yours, Thorne. No more clients. Just us."
He entered her again with a growl of possession, one clawed hand on her hip while the other reached around to circle her sensitive nub. Elena cried out as release crashed through her, her body milking him until he found his own release deep inside with a howl that echoed across the bay. The virus stabilized in their shared climax, leaving them bound as lovers instead of monsters.
Later, as they lay tangled on the sand, Thorne traced her curves. "You're no longer for sale, Elena. You're mine now." She smiled against his chest, knowing the irreversible choice had sealed their fates under the watching moon.
